Integrated Reservation System for Protected Areas (SIREAP)

Location: Puerto Jimenez, Golfito, Puntarenas Province.

The project’s goal is to optimize the reservation system in Wildlife Protected Areas through an automated method that’s more efficient and user-friendly for the staff that works in reservations and for users in general.

 One of the advantages of the implementation of the SIREAP is that tourists will be able to book their own reservations online from anywhere in the world.  It will also allow a constant and effective monitoring of the tours by area, produce daily, monthly and annual reports as well as other with special parameters.

 Data administration will be more expedite when processing requests and payments, with a safe, timely and responsible attention. The tourist will be able to book and pay for the services in advance thus guaranteeing the trip to the Wildlife Protected Area.

 The SIREAP is composed of various modules that include:

  •  General information of all the protected areas of ACOSA. 
  •  Reservation System (tourists, researchers and students)
  •  Online payment
  •  Financial reports module and
  •  Statistical reports module


Total investment is $7,000.00 and has the financial support of the University for International Cooperation (UCI)
