One of the strategic cores of the Association is social responsibility. In this sense, it strives to adopt sustainable practices in areas of conservation, especially protecting water resources.

Practicas sostenibles en los Parques Nacionales An example of the valuable contributions in this field is the donation and installation of modern Falcon WaterFree Systems (water free urinals) in some National Parks like Irazu, Marino Ballena, Poas, Tortuguero, Guayabo and Arenal.

With each WaterFree installed, there is a savings of 150 thousand liters of drinkable water, meaning with ten functioning systems, 1.5 million liters of water will be saved annually.

This type of technology produces very low levels of contamination, saving electricity and using biodegradable products.
