Project: “Proposal for Improving the Natural Trail ‘Canto del Agua’ or Water Song of the National Guayabo Monument to the ProParques Association"
National Guayabo Monument (MNG), of the Central Volanic Mountain Range Area Conservation (ACCVC).
The creation of MNG reflects the idea of protecting and preserving one of the most important archaeological resources of the country, its flora, fauna and water resources.
Among its features, the site presents variations in factors such as temperature, precipitation and an irregular slope.
The project mainly considers among its goals, to improve one of the trails of the National Guayabo Monument: The Natural Trail "Canto del Agua" or Water Song.
In this way, it seeks to provide visitors with better accessibility and security and information along the route.
- Equip the management of MNG with the materials needed to improve the Nature Trail “Canto del Agua”.
- Maintain the infrastructure of MNG in the best possible way and without perjury of the cultural and natural resources it possesses.
Actions carried out:
- Acquisition of various materials to improve the trail, including: round wood, cured planks, small rocks, sand, matte black paint, brushes, thinner, culverts, cement, nails and printed brochures for the trail.
- Implementation of improvements and contribution of voluntary labor for the reconditioning of the trail and the labeling of the Protected Wilderness Area.
