This initiative provides to high velocity internet connection to protected areas and facilitates park ranger and investigators to obtain information quickly, contacting scientists all over the world and connecting with organizations and interested centers.
It affords the possibility to access relevant information, send visitor reports, develop training online and favors the coordination between diverse projects of the National Parks. In addition, connection to the internet makes the way for putting our Membership program “Friends of National Parks” into practice.
Some of the National Parks included in the Project are: Poás, Irazú, Guayabo, Palo Verde, Carara, Manuel Antonio, Corcovado (Sirena), Cahuita (Puerto Vargas), Tortuguero(Cuatro Esquinas), Arenal, Rincón de la Vieja, Santa Rosa, Turrialba, Piedras Blancas and Marino Ballena.
