Project "Integrated Reservations System for Protected Areas" (SIREAP) October 2010- October 2011.

Puerto Jiménez, Golfito, Puntarenas province.

Puerto JimenezThe project's goal is to optimize the reservations mechanisms in Protected Areas, through a more efficient and user friendly automated system for officials involved in reservations and users in general.

As part of the benefits, the implementation of the Integrated Reservations System for Protected Areas (SIREAP) will facilitate tourist registration, so they can make reservations online from anywhere in the world.

Its implementation will make it possible to monitor consistently and effectively each field visit by area, generate reports, daily, monthly and annual reports and other particulars with special parameters.

Data management will be expedited in processing applications and payments, safely, timely and responsibly. Visitors can book and pay in advance for services and secure their visit to the Wildlife Protected Area.

SIREAP will consist of several modules including:

  • General information on all ACOSA protected areas. 
  • Reservation System (tourists, researchers and students) 
  • Online payment. 
  • Financial reporting module 
  • Statistics reports module 

Investment:

The total investment is $ 7,000 US dollars and has the financial support of the University for International Economic Cooperation. (UCCI)
